Jill AND Mary

Jillian Norel Hennessy (born 25th November, 1968) is an Canadian actress, singer who had a major impact in American television. Her fame is due to her outstanding performances on the American TV series Law & Order where she was awe-inspiring for the viewers over three seasons playing prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan in which she played protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy has also displayed her talents as an actor in films such as RoboCop 3 Most Wanted and the indie films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class and The Acting Class, in which she worked on her scriptwriting and co-directing muscles. Hennessy started her acting career with her sister, in 1988. They played two call-girls in Dead Ringers. She appeared briefly in Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story at Broadway in 1990. In 1993, Hennessy made her way out of musicals and into the science-fiction genre, playing Dr. Marie Lazarus. The big break came at the end of 1993 after she was tapped as the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. In these roles, she won the Golden Globe Award in 2006 as well as an Emmy Award in 2007. Parker was also honored with an Tony Award in 2001 for Best Actress, for her part in the role of Proof on Broadway.
